VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT

About Us

The Yoder Fire Protection District is comprised of 248 square miles encompassing the Town of Yoder.  We provide services to approximately 700 residents in our immediate area with a seasonal increase of 300 during hunting season. 

We respond to all types of fires, provide and/or assist emergency medical services, respond to motor vehicle crashes, hazardous materials incidents, natural disasters, and miscellaneous requests from law enforcement agencies. 

We have mutual aid agreements with all districts in our county.  

We have 25 active members who specialize in various functions of the department.  

The department was established in 1922.

Mission & Vision

We are committed to protecting life, property, and the environment in our community by providing community outreach and prevention, rapid and professional fire suppression, medical and rescue services, and response to related emergencies. Our mission is accomplished by professionally trained personnel, through teamwork and innovation, utilizing the personnel and resources provided by our community.
